The RavineI've just come to the edge of a ravine. I've only just managed to stop myself in time to prevent a headlong plunge into this ravine. Not because of superior knowledge or "spiritual enlightenment" but simply by the grace of the Creator, I was saved from disaster. Now I see you heading straight toward what you think is solid ground. What kind of a person would I be if I just let you go? If you don't believe in the Savior, I know you don't see yourself as heading straight for destruction. But, believing as I do--right or wrong, I have no choice but to see it that way. For if it's not true of you, then my faith is invalid. And I will never be able to accept the idea that the faith that changed my life so drastically is invalid. If I truly believe there's disaster ahead for you who reject the Savior (and I do believe this) but you who reject Him won't listen and just keep heading for the ravine, I can't physically stop you. If the Master wants to reach you through this message, or any other way, and you still reject Him, what more can I do? I'm only the messenger, not the teacher or the guru or the enlightened one. Just a fellow sinner saved by grace. Just one beggar telling another where I found bread.
