Closed Up and Shut DownDo not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. Philippians 4:6 Big, full anemone type flowers in bright, lemon yellows and neon pinks cluster about our front walkway. They really catch the eye, and they thrive in the brutal heat of our tropical days. At night, however, they close up and shut down. The droopy gray-green succulent leaves look nearly dead. In fact you probably wouldn't even notice them at all. Have you heard the saying, "Pray at night and give your problems to the Lord; He'll be up all night anyway." It is so comforting to know that God is never closed up and shut down. (Psalm 121:3...."He who watches over you will not slumber"). That is good news!
