Decision and Direction

"If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him." James 1:5
and:
"I know, O LORD, that a man's life is not his own; it is not for man to direct his steps." Jeremiah 10:23

While out for a morning walk today, I turned a corner and saw a white cowbird, similar to a small heron, right in the middle of where two streets intersected. He was quietly standing still, as if trying to decide which way to go. He wasn't ruffled by my presence and nearly let me walk right up to him. He was in his own world for the moment.

How often I stand at the crossroads of a decision, and if I would come out of my own little world of thoughts and look to the Lord for direction, things would go so much more smoothly.

Prayer: Thank you, Father, that you always have a direction in which for us to go, and that you are always so willing to reveal it to us when we ask. Lord, I praise you that you really do order the steps of a righteous person. Thank you that I am righteous in Your eyes, because of the shed blood of Jesus. Glory to you, oh Lord. Amen!
