Lounge ChairsThe beach attendants were busy in the early morning hours, placing the lounge chairs in perfect precision along the waters' edge. The chairs were facing East, so their occupants could watch the sun rise high over the Atlantic ocean. By afternoon, many sunbathers had turned their chairs to the west; still chasing the rays of the sun for that perfect golden and even tan. This made me wonder, what do I chase each day? Do I seek God's Son? Do I keep myself- my mind and heart- focused on Him? If I do that, I will be available to absorb God's rays of love, compassion and caring all the day long. It takes His filling in my spirit to prepare and enable me to spread these attributes to others. How about you? What do YOU chase each day? The things of this world are only temporal, and God tells us in His Word to pursue things with heavenly value. It is so easy to get caught in the trappings of "here and now", but let's allow God to work in our lives in the manner that He wishes.
