I Want to LIVE!

It was fridge-cleaning time again. It always makes me nervous when it's time to clean the refrigerator; I open the door, and I hear voices. Now I know what you're thinking. You're not at all surprised that I hear voices and you wonder how long I've been off the medication. But that's not it. The voices are not the usual voices coming from my head. No, these are voices coming from the various plastic containers. I hate it when I walk toward the garbage disposal with one of the containers, open it up and hear it scream, "I want to LIVE!"

While I don't necessarily love listening to my leftovers (especially when they're not even sure of their own species), I admit that I do enjoy the message. I want to live, too. I want live to the fullest. Ephesians 1:11-12 tells us how:"It's in Christ that we find out who we are and what we are living for. Long before we first heard of Christ and got our hopes up, he had his eye on us, had designs on us for living, part of the overall purpose he is working out in everything and everyone." (The Message)

How thrilling to know that He has designs on us for living! He has glorious, exciting, well-thought-out plans for each of our lives (although, sorry, you're not necessarily included if you're a creature who used to be broccoli).
