God Spa

"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son, that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life." John 3:16

I have never been to a spa, but am really looking forward to an upcoming overnight stay with my daughters at one. We are celebrating my "big" birthday; one to be delighted in, I am sure! When the brochure arrived in the mail, I scanned it to check out all the available things which were offered. There were massages, facials, body or face waxing, hand and foot reflexology, manicures, pedicures and clay masks. The price of the package varied, depending upon which item or items you chose to place in your package. Of course, the most expensive one was the super-duper package with all of the above included.

God also offers us a spiritual spa, right from His heart, through His Word to us. He wants to massage and sooth our weariness with the words in the Psalms. He will renew and rejuvenate our spirits as a facial would do in the spa. He will remove any unwanted things in our life, lifting them away with the waxing process of His love, kindness, mercy and forgiveness. As He prepares our hands to extend to others in service, and our feet to walk in the direction He tells us , He holds them gently and guides them. He offers us the super-duper package; the one with everything, including eternal life with Him, and the price has already been paid for you and for me. Jesus did that at Calvary so many years ago. What a savior; what a Lord!
