Linen Cloth
The Bible tells us, in Revelations 19:8 that The Bride of Christ will be clothed in white linen. I believe this fabric has been chosen because it is a special material. It is strong, cool and lustrous. It represents purity and is costly. (Nothing is too good for the Bride of Christ!) The Bible says this linen represents righteous and faithful acts of the saints. I believe these acts are similar to the threads which are interwoven in some bolts of cloth. I can picture each faithful act interwoven on the heavenly loom as this cloth was prepared for the Bride. Can you just imagine the loom master, sifting through all the righteous and holy acts, smiling as He does so, interweaving them into the fabric of the cloth? Do not be deceived that deeds bring salvation or justification before God. These deeds mentioned in scripture have been offered, giving glory to God, by those already redeemed and justified in Christ. Will you be robed in white linen at the "great wedding feast"? I hope to see you there!
