I'm Not A Perfect Person
While I dont listen as ardently to some of the modern pop songs as my teenaged daughter might, this song immediately touched my heart because it is a sentiment we all can relate to. Havent we, at one time or another, felt the need to fall on our knees in humility and apologize to someone whom we have hurt through our own wrongful words or actions? As the above words convey, arent we all also still capable of growth and learning, because as long as we are in our earthly form, we will never be completely "perfect." That status, my friends, is reserved for God. No, we are not perfect, but God does call us to perfection; to release sin from our hearts, minds and bodies, and to cleanse our spirits with His mercy and grace. This song may have been written by a man to a woman, but the best reason for the need to start over new is... GOD. There are certain phrases in the human language which I find are very beautiful. One of these is, "I love you," and the other is, "Im sorry." No, we are not perfect, but it is only through God and His Son, Jesus Christ, that the imperfect can be made perfect. Won't you make your change today?
