The Possibility of Salvation #278Let me give you a couple examples. Key administration officials call the largest evangelical Christian organization in America irrelevant. Yet this organization represents some of the largest Christian denominations in America. On a local level, a daycare center in Kansas faced difficulty in getting a new director certified. The new director is well qualified and the day care center operates on Christian principles. However, the state inspector repeatedly spoke of the daycare center, being Christian, in a derogatory way. The upshot is that in official circles, Christianity is looked down upon. The result is that fewer people hear the Christian message. The possibility of salvation and heaven is being reduced for many many people. The trend in schools is another example. Prayer, Bible reading and Christian moral standards have been and are being excluded. Children are being taught, by the absence of these things, that God is unnecessary. Â As a result, the work of the church is actually being undermined. The possibility of salvation is reduced. You see, in order for salvation to occur, people need to be placed. They need to place themselves within earshot of the message of the Bible. When the message of the Bible is muted, the possibility of salvation is removed.Â
