The Implant

"Accept the Word planted in you." James: 21b
Many things are implanted in this day and age.Hair, teeth, pacemakers corneas , livers and even hearts are a few of the physical things which can be implanted. They are put into place in our bodies and somehow secured so that they function in harmony with the rest of the body.

In the book of James, we are admonished to accept God's Word which has been planted in the believer. In Biblical days, it was passed on quite often by word of mouth, but today we have the written Word of God in the Scriptures. It is available for us to read and accept as containing the mind of God. I believe its doctrines and records are true. It shows the way to salvation and if we read it we will become wise, safe and holy. All this is done by the power of the Holy Spirit, who writes these truths on our minds and hearts, when we ask Him to.

There are no other words more sacred or meaningful than those in the Bible. Let us be mindful of that fact, as we make a concerted effort to abide in His Word.
