With God Nothing is Impossible

"For with God nothing will be impossible." Luke 1:37
During our prayer meeting, a friend started sharing the scripture in Luke 1:36-37 about the miracle God performed for Elizabeth when she became pregnant.She was reading verse 36, "Now indeed, Elizabeth your relative has also conceived a son in her old age; and this is now the sixth month for her who was". The friend stopped to unfold the Bible page that was hiding the rest of the verse. During that little pause, we ventured to complete the verse saying, 'who was barren'. The friend then resumed stressing, "who was called barren."

What a huge difference! Through the word 'called', God is declaring that Elizabeth, in His Eyes, is a perfect woman regardless of and no matter what she is called by humans to be. She was His precious daughter. The way He sees her is the way she is to be. In due time and for His glory, He granted her the gift of a child to fulfill His plan for her life.

Sometimes we may fall under the category of "who was called". Friend, know that God looks at you through Jesus' eyes, not through people's eyes. Through Jesus' eyes, you are the precious son/daughter of the King of Kings through the shed Blood of Jesus Christ. You are created for a significant purpose: to glorify God. He mightily reveals how He sees you, rendering human wisdom foolishness, bringing glory to Himself and fulfilling His awesome plan for your life, exactly as He did with Elizabeth and exactly as declared in verse 37: "For with God nothing will be impossible."

Father, during the Thanksgiving season, we thank You for Your precious gift Jesus Christ. Through Jesus' Blood, we are Your precious children. Thank You for our value, which is in You and through You and sealed by the Holy Spirit forever. Thank You for being the God of all the impossibles. We have faith that only the way You see us is the way we are to be. Amen.
