Out-of-The-Box Mission

"I am a man of prayer." (Psalm 109:4)
Most probably, everyone of us has established missions for his/her life-being a successful student, faithful husband/wife, kind father, loving mother, professional, missionary, etc. So many missions are out there. The sweet thing about King David though is that, being led by the Holy Spirit, he always sought missions "out of the box". Earlier, God pronounced him to have a "heart after God's own". David was not born with such heart. He desired and sought it from God; it was his mission at that time.

In Psalm 109:4, David had an additional mission to be a "man of prayer". In fact, David showed vivid application of "Seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well." (Matthew 6:32)

Our world hungers for people with the mission of being man/woman of prayer. We need those who will pray for the poor, the starving, the sick, the single parents, the homeless, the war vicitms, the persecuted, the jobless, the orphans, the singles, and above all, the lost souls. Our prayers, as David declared, in are "incense" before God (Psalm 141:4) Let us fill God's throne with the aroma and incense of our praise and prayers.
