Confusion
Next came moving her out of the independent living facility- going through papers, videos, clothes and shoes, kitchen items, books and magazines, etc. It became more confusing as the movers came to gather things to be moved to my sister-in-law's home. Then my daughter selected a few things which we had moved. Another friend of hers picked a few more things, and finally I packed up all the rest and waited for goodwill to arrive. Each night that week I lay in bed thinking about tomorrow's events and how they would proceed. I felt like I had been in a whirlwind of confusion which certainly qualified as the dictionary definition of the word. But God tells us that He is not a God of confusion, but of peace. I admit, I never asked Him to be with me or help me in the moving endeavor. I planned it all myself, and then wondered why it was such a confusing time. If I had asked for His help, I think He would have told me to delegate more, worry less, pray for patience, and remember to take one day at a time. If I had only asked, He would have given me peaceful sleep and a less stressful time during the day. Oh, what was I thinking to leave Him out of a time of need in my life? It is never too late to learn. Hopefully, the next time you or I face a time of confusion, we will call on God to bring us peace.
