Combination

"Go and make disciples of all the nations." Matthew 28:19

Opening the safe in our home is an easy procedure. We just need to know the combination, and then turn the key. Presto! The door opens. The secret is knowing the correct four numbers to unlock the safe.

The safe of salvation is not much different. We must know and use four things to have eternal life. God tells us to admit our sin, ask for forgiveness, ask Jesus to fill our hearts and be our Lord as well as our savior. It is just that simple? It's not a complicated procedure at all, but one that starts with the heart cry of each of us.

If we have opened the safe of salvation, we have now been called to spread the gospel message - the Good News. Jesus commissions us to make disciples of all the nations (salvation is the first step), baptizing in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. We should teach people to obey the commandments Jesus has taught us, and never forget that Jesus is with each of us. This is not just a job to complete, but a truth in which we are privileged to partake.
