A Lady Named Alice
One day Alice walked from one side of the building to the other, to visit a friend who went to assisted living after a stroke. She became aware of the need there- a touch of a hand, someone to be a good listener, someone who cared about the individual. She asked God,"Is this the place you want me to serve, Lord?" It seems His answer was yes, for before long her visits turned into full time ministry for those folks. She ate meals with them, wrote notes for them, discussed family photos with them, pray with them, and most of all- listened to them. She was a friend to each God put in her path. IsnÂt it wonderful that God can use us- no matter our age, race, color or creed. His will use our hands, feet and hearts to serve others - if only we would ask Him.
