Made Beautiful
Romans 5:8,9 God proved His love for us in that while we still were sinners Christ died for us. More surely then, since we have been justified by His blood, we will be saved THROUGH HIM from the wrath of God. We dont have many snowstorms in Atlanta, so when one occurred last January, everything shut down. Many people, like myself had the opportunity on a snowy morning to sit and enjoy the majestic grandeur of the fresh fallen snow. The three or four inches which accumulated overnight portrayed a comical picture, also. The porch furniture, birdfeeders, umbrella, statues and other outdoor items looked funny with their perfect dome or layer of snow on top of each. The most amazing picture came to my mind, however, when I noticed the garbage can, hose roller and an assorted pile of boxes and bags which had not been picked up from Christmas time. These items have no beauty to them in themselves, but this morning they had been transformed
they looked beautiful ! The white layer of perfection changed unsightly into pretty; ugly into beautiful. It was a sight for me to behold!
The blood of Jesus Christ does exactly the same thing for each believer. His shed blood takes our sin laden selves and turns us into beings as pure and white as the new driven snow. We are turned from ugly to beautiful- from sinful to sinless
what a miracle! I dont understand how this works, and it is not a visible happening. However, I stand on faith that this marvelous miracle happens, and the proof is in changed lives- visible proof of an invisible happening. The next time you experience the glory of a snowfall, look around. You will see some unlovely things covered in white and made beautiful
. Remember, then, that is what Jesus did for you and for me on that day He was nailed to the cross. He made us pure and beautiful before the eyes of God ! Thank you Jesus.
