Brokenhearted?
In times of heartbreak and turmoil, man often cries out to the Lord. When tragedy strikes, the phrase many people exclaim is, "Oh! My God!" And, when death looms near, man's natural inclination is often to fall on his knees and pray. Why do often wait until the most dire of situations before we call upon our loving heavenly Father? God is not a God of sorrow and despair, but of peace, hope and joy! Certainly, He can handle the bumps along our path, but what about inviting Him to join us on our entire journey? As the above Bible verse conveys, yes, God is there to rescue the brokenhearted and crushed in spirit, but let us not forget that, like a faithful friend and caring father, God wishes to walk by our side always, not just in times of despair.
