Orange JuiceThe timing's terrible, I thought. I just took the last provera, and I'm on the brink of insanity; I am in no mood for this! The telephone rang - her again! Providentially, it was a friend from out of state. She said my name had just come up on her caller ID, so she was returning my call. I hadn't called her in days. Aha! We agreed; an angel had posted my name on her answer machine so she would call just then. After we talked and prayed, it hit me. This conference thing wasnt just another hair-raising situation. It was an opportunity for me to say "Yes" to God. He was doing what He does: attempting to grow me up a little bit more spiritually. He was stretching me. The story has a happy ending. We made it to our destination on time, had a marvelous weekend, and became fast friends in the Lord. In the book of Philippians (1:6), Paul says, "He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion...". God will use whatever He wants to accomplish His will for us, which is to stretch and grow us into the likeness of Himself. And He is relentless. Thank God!
