View from Above

Recently I flew home from California to Georgia.I always request a window seat, as I thoroughly enjoy the view from above the earth. As I looked out there were certain things that were very visible to me- blue skies, a few puffy cumulous clouds, a haze of thin clouds, rock formations, mountains, hills, valleys, trees and green or brown terrain. What a wide scope of landscape was visible to my eye!

In my life, I believe there are many visible attributes others may see. I usually have a happy disposition, face occasional clouds of life, and sometimes there is haze in my circumstances. I experience the usual mountain, hill, and valley experiences, and sometimes I have to climb over rocky terrain. There are many aspects which color my life—these all paint the picture that others see.

Next I noticed roads, highways and bridges- crisscrossing here and there. These were symbolic of the pathways of my life- laid out in such a pattern that they take me many different directions. However, there is much below the surface of the earth which I cannot see. In the same manner, others cannot see to the depths of my being. I do know the One who can peer into my heart, and He also looks into yours. God know all about us - everything from A to Z;; or from soup to nuts, as the sayings go!The last thing I noticed looking up out of the plane were the fluffy white, billowing clouds with the sun shining on them- they were so beautiful- pure and white- totally unblemished. So.. let's remember to always keep our eyes looking up and focused on God… then our lives will reflect the beauty He has placed our my hearts.
