Orange Juice

Your words have I hid in my heart, that I might not sin against you. Psalm 119:11The honeybells were large and smelled luscious.As a special treat for our house guests, I was squeezing the oranges for fresh juice. Such a deep, rich color. And oh! The taste was heavenly.

I thought, "When you squeeze oranges, you get orange juice. What do you get when I get squeezed?" Input, output. What is there is what comes out.

There are many avenues of input. Self-help books, counseling, encounter groups, going to church, meetings, are just a few. What could be better, however, than simply hanging out with Jesus. Getting to know Him, soaking up His attributes, and ways. Simply time spent with the Saviour, in prayer, Bible reading, or quiet time in His presence.

We all get squeezed sooner or later.... by the world, by troubles and problems, sometimes even by ourselves. My hope is that "Sally" juice will be merciful, loving, kind, and joyful.
