Sun and RainThe above description is true from an earthly perspective; the reality of the change in weather and seasons, yet, did you know the same concept is true, spiritually-speaking? In the Bible we are told, "Weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning."(Psalm 30:5) Simply-stated, tears always give way to smiles, but even sorrow must run its course. In life, we experience a potpourri of emotions. These include, happiness, sadness, anger, and other emotions that may not reflect the best of our character, such as jealousy and envy. While our goal is to find as much peace, joy and contentment as possible, life does not always work that way, and we may find ourselves dealing with meddling mother-in-laws, sibling rivalry, temperamental bosses, and disappointing relationships. The question is, will we allow these bumps or detours in the road to bring us down to the depths of despair, or will we take them in stride, knowing that the darkness will soon give way to the light? How do we accomplish this seemingly impossible task? Easy! The answer, my dear friends, is to not focus on the rain-storm, but to instead, cast your attention to the imminent sun. There is another entity which we may cleave to in times of darkness, and this is the SON of God. Call upon Christ today, and let his love radiate in to your life.
