Darkness
Then, why and where, do we grow up and become afraid of the dark? Things are more ominous after darkness falls, and as we walk down a black deserted street, we look over our shoulder often. We make sure all our doors are locked, and turn on the security alarm before going to bed. I have heard that 3 a.m. is the darkest time of our 24 hour cycle, and that is when evil lurks heavy. Oh, that we would be as this little child, not fearing the darkness. Jesus calls us to come to him as a little child, trusting, believing and unafraid. He gives us the Holy Spirit to comfort and calm us, just as Tanner has his familiar toys in the crib. The Bible tells us "greater is He (Jesus) that is in us than he (satan) who is in the world. That good news means fear of the darkness can be overcome by the power of The Lord. I claim that power, and the divine protection that accompanies it. Wont you join me?
