The StarfishToday I saw some of the same starfish at low tide. As the water had receded and they were exposed to the air. They were dried up and almost void of color. Comparing these two starfish reminded me of my relationship with God. When I am in Him, and allowing Him to be in me, I will remain vibrant in His love. Even during difficult times, I can cling to Him, just as the starfish had done with the rock. However, when I allow myself to be removed from His presence, I will dry up- spiritually; just as the starfish had when removed from the water. The good news is, although there are times I may feel withdrawn from God, He is always here with me. As surely as the ebb and flow of the tides, I can depend on the fact when that I reach out to Him, He will receive me and I will be filled with aware my "dry spells" of spirituality are only temporary. No matter how I feel, I have the assurance He is available to me by the power of the Holy Spirit. The same is true for you, too. Let's just be thankful He will never leave or forsake us.
