The Jews are in possession of the land God gave them, and some of this land was only acquired when they were attacked by the people we now call the Palestinians - a people who really have no country at all. They are Muslims, and the remnant of those who first attacked the Jews, their hated neighbors of the past few thousand years.

Father Abraham is father to all three faiths.

The Christians are appalled that the Palestinians are using the Church as a refuge from which to carry on the fight against the Jews first - and anybody else who does not recognize Allah as the one true god - second.

It is ironic that the Christians once found themselves in this same location but on the attack against the Muslims for control of the Holy Land. And their track record and atrocities perpetuated in the name of God were just as bad as any today.

Some would disagree, but terrorist killing of innocent women and children is no worse that the indiscriminate killings of whole families that were put into synagogs and then burned alive during the Crusades. Jewish history also has such sad examples.

So what is my point? Just this - all religions fall terribly short of the love of God. The Muslims are not acting according to the Koran any more that the Jews are following the Mosaic Law for treatment of their enemies as set forth in the Torah. Christians rarely turn the other cheek. Religion is a feeble man-made attempt to put heavenly things into human fashion every time it is attempted, it has failed miserably.

God cannot be placed into any box of man's design.

There is another option.

Jesus Christ, the Messiah of the Jews (even though they do not recognize Him), the prophet of the Muslims (even though they feel He was just a man), and the Savior of mankind (even though most who call themselves Christians try to reinvent Him in their own form) stands at the door and knocks. He is a gentleman and will not kick the door down. He showed true unconditional love at Calvary when he held the sins of the world in his own body and then washed them away with his life’s blood.

He, and only He is the hope of the world. Only He can save. The Muslims try to placate a capricious god and some believe the only way they can be assured of heaven is to die fighting for his name. The Jews have been wandering for most of their existence and failed to recognize the Lamb of God when He arrived. The Christians have caused Christ to shed many tears because of the misguided ways they have often behaved for two thousand years.

When, if ever, will we learn that God so loved the world that He gave His only Son so if anybody believes in Him they will not perish but have eternal life? There is no formula, no deeds that need accomplished, no secret words to learn, no undoable law to keep.

Love has conquered - and all who call upon His name will be saved.

Those who call on another name will be cast into the lake of fire by the One True God who is so Holy that if we were to stand in his presence with out imperfect sinful bodies we would be turned to ashes. The Good News is that the penalty for all has been paid for by Jesus Christ so that no one needs condemned.

He is our only hope.
