Know God

Eternal Life ... what a notion that overflows with glorious hopes and everlasting joy! Jesus has declared, "And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent." (John 17:3)When two souls are captured in love, their love life begins at the moment they know each othe, grows into marriage unity and keeps developing after marriage until forever. Similarly, while still on earth, our souls start "love life", that is the spark of our Eternal Life with Jesus, when we know and accept Him as our Savior and Redeemer, know the Father as our Heavenly Father and accept His Holy Spirit. This love life grows every day full of yearnings to the day we unite in Him in Heavens where we enjoy our eternal life.

"Know God and Jesus Christ" is the basic foundation. When we truly know God, we come to understand what pleases Him and what hurts Him. Our souls instantly acknowledge His Fatherhood and pledge Him unconditional obedience. We become able to comprehend how Holy He is and seek Him unceasingly to purify us from our sin stains.

When we truly know Jesus, we accept Him as our Savior and Redeemer. Someone once proclaimed, "I need Mighty Savior with whom I do not need to worry about all life questions that I do not have answers to." We learn how to yield to His leadership in our life without questioning. We joyfully obey when He advises, "Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light." (Matthew 11:29-30). When we accept His Holy Spirit, we allow Him to bloom in our life with His fruits of "love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control" (Galatians 5: 22)

In Life jammed with lots of responsibilities and pressures, we need to always revive our "love life", the spark of our eternal life, with Jesus. We need to know Him more through His word in the Bible, obey, and yield to His leadership and declare Him our Savior with whom our souls are fully satisfied.
