The Art of Enjoying God #118

The ultimate goal of every Christian person is life with God in heaven. Listen to what heaven will bring, "Behold, the tabernacle of God is among men, and He shall dwell among them, and they shall be His peoples, and God Himself shall dwell among them, and He shall wipe away every tear from their eyes; and there shall no longer be any death; there shall no longer be any mourning, or crying, or pain" (Revelation 21:3-4). To enjoy heaven is to delight in God; what rapture that will be. But you do not have to wait for heavenly bliss. Those who trust in the sacrifice of Christ for the forgiveness of their sins have foretastes of that ecstasy now. How? Simple!

God is present with every Christian person. The presence of God's Holy Spirit produces special fruit: "love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control" (Galatians 5:22-23). Are you seeking love, joy, and peace? They come from God. Perhaps you need to learn the lost art of enjoying Him.
