It Counts!

Recently I have been doing some picture smocking for my infant grandson. As I sew each stitch, I think to myself, "there are quite a few stitches here, but each one counts." It takes every stitch to make the picture.

The same is true of my golf game. There are a certain number of swings within each game (more or less!), and each one really counts. I must pay attention when I swing the club, giving it my total concentration.

As we live our lives, most of us perform acts of kindness and give generously for the things and people we deem to be worthy of receiving them. We pray for people who have great needs, and for God to answer prayers in the way we would like. The truth is, however, God knows the intentions of our hearts, and He answers prayers in HIS most perfect manner.

I believe it pleases God greatly when we pray for, do for, and give to those who cross our minds in an fleeting sort of manner. In His eyes, it counts! Each thing we do, say or give, is no little matter to Him.IT COUNTS!Your one small act of kindness or a prayer you lift for the "out of ordinary" person, is important to God. There is no such thing as a "little prayer, small love offering or an act of kindness." They all count in the eyes of God, and we will never know this side of heaven if perhaps one small act we did here on earth helped usher another into the kingdom of heaven.

So, I recommend we all listen to the nudges in our heart, large or small, for they have been placed there by the Holy Spirit and they COUNT to God.
