Chamois ClothIt was another beautiful summer morning in Marietta, Ga. and I decided towash my car before it got too hot. I proceeded to wash and rinse as usual, then dry with one of my car towels. Well, the towel just didn't get the job done. All it seemed to do was smear the water droplets around instead of removing them. I remembered my husband had a chamois cloth in the storage room - an item especially made to absorb and remove water. As Iwiped across the windshield I was amazed at the way one swipe did the job. There was no rubbing back and forth, just a swipe and the task was done! Those water droplets reminded me of my life before I met God. There weredrops of sin (separation from God) all over the windshield of my life. Try as I might - I couldn't erase them completely, just as the towel couldn't completely absorb the water. When I turned my life over to Christ, and metHim personally, God became my chamois cloth. He heard my pleas of repentanceand He forgave all the wrong that I had done. What is so amazing is the factthat He wiped the slate clean - every droplet of sin was wiped away - no smear lines or missed spots, He removed all of them completely! He forgave and forgot, and He wants to do the same for you. What a mighty and loving Creator we have.
