UndercoverThe war still raged. For years and years, there had been casualties and heroes on both sides, but no apparent breakthrough by either force of combatants. But a strategy, planned long before the war had even begun, had yet to be implemented. But now, the time for that strategys implementation was here, and the complexion of the conflict was about to change drastically. So, the time did come at last. The infiltration would begin. And with it, the beginning of the end. One had been designated to go behind enemy lines, to strip the enemy of his power. It would not be an easy mission. The infiltrators home was beautiful and the land in which it rested was beautiful as well. But, enemy territory was not a pretty place. In fact, it was a rather brutal and violent and ugly place. Brutality, violence and ugliness was unleashed upon natives frequently. How much more a stranger among them? Perhaps the oddest thing about the mission was that the one going had chosen to go. The accomplishment of the mission made leaving home behind necessary, though, and accomplishing this mission was foremost in the infiltrators mind. So willingly he prepared. He would go in undercover, though the enemy would be fully aware of his presence. His mission was to assemble a team of locals and train them well. He would eventually depart and this team would carry on the work in his absence. Distractions for the infiltrator, and his team, would be plentiful. Many would try to derail the ancient plans. Some attacks would come subtly; others would be head-on assaults. The enemy had a vast arsenal, a wide array of tricks and maneuvers designed to abort the mission. The enemy was also resourceful and unscrupulous, and would use any means available to try to end the threat. But the infiltrator knew the enemy well, and would be ready, even if no member of his team was. In the context of such a monumental war, this mission seemed an insignificant thing. But what this mission would accomplish, what the infiltrator would do as an undercover agent in a hostile environment, would mean the survival of millions. It was this thought that drove him, drove him to accept and carry out what no one else could. The infiltrator had counted the cost long ago, and now this rescue mission, this salvage operation that would give so many new hope, began, beginning the series of events the infiltrator knew would result in his brutal, bloody death. At the appointed time, the infiltrator stepped from the world of the familiar and into where the mission would begin: the womb of a young, Israeli virgin.
