Love Gods HouseJohnny came into the room and sat in the first seat in the third row. Heeyed the seat and went straight for it. All things considered, this wasthe spot for him. After a while, Johnny had a certain affection for this spot in the class. It was not too close to the front. It was close to the door. The teacherhad to look over several heads to see him. Yet he could also easilyparticipate in class. All things considered, this was the spot for him. On Sunday morning it was the same. Dont get to close to the preacher.Select a place close to the door. Johnny, along with each member of hisfamily, had a regular place in worship. It was his seat. It was his pew.Beyond doubt, he had a certain affection for this particular place. What made this section of seats so special? It was Johnnys regular placeof worship among Gods people. There he stood to sing Gods praise. Therehe sat in reverent prayer. There he took His Bible. He read. He heard thevoice of God in the Spirit-born proclamation, exposition, and explanationof Scripture. There he expected to meet with God. He often did. Allthings considered, this was the spot for him. He had great affection forthis particular place and circumstance.
